Location:
[Dana Point, CA]
Year:
2025
The Goal
Create a film that feels like the soul of Ohana, community, coastline, and live music at scale, then turn that footage into a social-first content system built to:
- Keep momentum alive after the weekend
- Strengthen brand identity and cultural positioning
- Support future marketing, partnerships, and announcements
The Challenge
Ohana is a premium festival with a distinct emotional tone, warm, intentional, and high impact. The content needed to balance:
- Massive performances with intimate crowd moments
- Coastal beauty with nighttime energy
- A cinematic finish that still works in short-form distribution
Our Approach
We treated Ohana like a living story not a highlight reel.
- 1) Story-first editorial
- We built a narrative arc around arrival, connection, peak moments, and the feeling people take home.
- 2) Texture + emotion over randomness
- We focused on what makes Ohana unforgettable: faces, movement, reactions, light, and the environment, capturing the festival’s identity, not just the stages.
- 3) Social-native capture
- We intentionally gathered moments designed to translate into vertical cutdowns hooks, reveals, crowd reactions, scenic transitions, and performance peaks.
What We Delivered
- Official Festival Film
- A cinematic hero piece designed to live on the website, YouTube, press pages, and as the signature memory of Ohana Festival 2025.
