Client:
Ocaso Festival (Underground Music Festival)
Project:
Official Recap Film + Social Moments
Created by:
Respect The Funk
Location:
Costa Rica
The Goal
Create an official recap that feels like the real Ocaso experience sunset to afterhours, beach to jungle energy, then package that footage into a brand asset the festival can use for hype, ticketing momentum, and year-round storytelling.
The Challenge
Ocaso is built around underground culture raw, immersive, and community-driven. Capturing it meant balancing:
- Scale + atmosphere (world-building, locations, crowd density) Intimacy + identity (human moments, movement, connection) A final piece that feels cinematic, but still plays as a fast moving promotional tool for social and future announcements
Our Approach
- 1) Story first recap (not random highlights)
- We treated the weekend like a narrative arc, arrival → discovery → peak energy → afterhours release, so the film carries emotion, not just visuals.
- 2) Texture beyond the stage
- We captured the details that define destination festivals: environment, art/production, faces, rituals, late night moments, turning the recap into a memory people want to replay.
- 3) Edit built for distribution
- The hero film anchors the campaign, while modular sequences are designed to break cleanly into short social moments, teasers, and future rollouts.
What We Delivered
- Official Recap Film (hero asset for website + YouTube + press/sponsor use)
- Social ready moments (cut, friendly sequences for reels, teasers, announcements)
- Finishing + SFX polish to heighten impact and replay value
The Outcome
A premium recap that communicates Ocaso’s identity in seconds: Costa Rica, underground music, and a destination experience, built to keep the festival’s momentum alive long after the final set.
